How is BAMBINO handcrafted?BAMBINO is crafted using a combination of modern scientific techniques and traditional jeweler’s craftsmanship. After sterilization and special processing to increase its breaking strength, the baby tooth is given to a goldsmith who, after dipping it in a silver-based bath, proceeds with the most advanced electroplating process, covering it with the 100% pure precious metal you have selected. How are the replicas made?After the baby tooth has been sterilized, the goldsmith makes a mold in order to obtain a perfect wax copy of it. After that, through the ‘antique lost wax’ technique, a model is cast to obtain an exact reproduction of the original tooth in silver or gold. Which materials are used in the making of BAMBINO?The scientific process uses exactly the same nanofilled composite resin employed in modern dentistry. To create the jewel, the tooth is plated with pure metal (1000‰) while replicas are created from the most precious alloys used in high-end jewelry: silver is 925‰ pure metal and gold is 18kt (750‰). How much is the shipping rate?Magical baby teeth are made in Italy. We mail our products via Poste Italiane, the national registered mail. For any order including at least one baby tooth (i.e. €99 minimum), shipping costs are included in the price for all world destinations, no matter where you live. For smaller orders, we charge €15.
